What is Culture Club?

It's a free ten-week online English and cultural exchange program between students within higher education. It's organized every year between October and December to connect students from all over the world using live chats. Culture Club is a part of The University Grapevine global newsletter.

Why choose Culture Club over other projects?

Teachers get rewarded! Board members receive website recognition, joint research and publishing opportunities, and official certification. Your dedication deserves to be seen!

Synchronous (real-time) speaking practice for students! Unlike other projects, our Zoom parties ensure learners truly connect with their peers.

A very diverse global experience. Students aren’t just paired from two locations—they interact worldwide, exchanging multiple cultures, viewpoints, and English varieties.

Why should students join?

If you want to learn more about other cultures from around the world while improving your English, then this is for you! Students who have taken part say that Culture Club is a really fun, low-stress and engaging project that results in long-lasting friendships. Participants (teachers and students) also receive a course completion CERTIFICATE to share on their online profiles and resume.

When do students do it?

Culture Club takes place once a year for ten weeks (Oct-Dec). Student Applications must be received by October 1st. Take a look at the next SCHEDULE.
